Mr. Ron Huber ( Somerville ) was born in a small town of Sterling Illinois on February 26, 1946. He had two biological brothers, Ralph Jr. and Robert Ward who later died from a rat bite. He has a half brother, Victor, who is the oldest.

Ron was made a Ward of the State on November 19, 1948 along with his brother Victor. Ron, later, found that he had two half sisters, Caroline and Kathy, plus a half brother Carl from his mother side.

Ron went to grade school in Frankfort Illinois and then the Illinois Soldiers & Sailors Children Home in Normal Illinois. He completed High School at University High in Normal Illinois. He went to the University of North Carolina and the University of Maryland and received his Ph.D. in Business Administration in 05/22/2004. He is also the author of the book " What Makes a Leader ". Ron was the first adult adoption in the state of Illinois in 1967. Ron has three adopted sisters, April , Barbara and Charmaine plus an adopted brother David.

Ron entered the United States Army on June 6, 1963 and retired on June 30th 1983. During his twenty years in the service he spent one year in Vietnam from November 1967 through November 1968 he was with the 7th Special Forces and became the NCOIC of the Fort Bragg television facilities before he retired.

After Ron retired from the US Army he worked for RCA as a technical engineer at the Library of Medicine in Bethesda Maryland.

Ron spent several years as a part time country disk jockey with WFAI in Fayetteville North Carolina, his air name was Ron Somerville.

Ron started working for the United States Information Agency on February 25th 1985 where he was advanced to the Chief of WORLDNET Technical Support Team. After the demise of the United States Information Agency. In 1998, he was reassigned as the Chief of Technical Support for television operations within the Voice of America.

Ron, during his thirty some years in broadcasting, has had the privilege of working with four Presidents, numerous Senators and hundreds of people within the broadcasting field.

Ron was previously married which lasted for 11 years and he had two beautiful daughters, Susan and Kristina. Ron remarried to Gladys, and has been married for twenty three wonderful years. They have one son, Fernando, who is a senior at East Carolina University this year.
